"On the Short Waves, 1923-1945"

Though a lot has been written on the overall history of radio broadcasting, very little is on the history of shortwave radio. Jerome Berg has solved this with this extensively-researched, well-written book. This incredible volume chronicles the develop and evolution of international broadcasters up to World War II. One can only pray that another volume from Mr. Berg is forthcoming, this time chronicling shortwave broadcasting since World War II. Highly recommended.
